07/01 - 07/19International Summer School German (and) Theology
Postgraduate students and young international scholars are invited to attend this three week summer school as an opportunity for theologians (even with hitherto little knowledge of German) to immerse into language, thought, and the intellectual world of German theology.
Faculty 01: Catholic and Protestant Theology
08/23 - 08/30New Approaches and Methods for Research in Children’s Media
The Summer School of Gutenberg-Institute, Book Studies aims at students interested in Children’s and YA-media. Numerous lectures and workshops by international experts will provide new cultural studies perspectives on Children’s Media (e.g. Disability Studies and New Environmental Studies) with methods from the digital humanities. Excursions and meetings with staff from publishing houses and cultural institutions will introduce participants to the Rhine-Main region as a book and cultural region and provide opportunities for networking.

07/22 - 07/26International Summer School Germersheim (ISG)
Literatur- und Medienübersetzen (Literature and media translation)
This course aims at international students from linguistics and translation studies with a level of at least B2 in German who would like to learn more about the translation of fictional texts and media (such as subtiteling). This will include practical as well as theoretical input on this topic.

07/29 - 08/02International Summer School Germersheim (ISG)
Dolmetschen Intensiv (Intensive Course Interpreting)
This course aims at international students from linguistics and translation studies with a level of at least B2 in German who would like to learn more about interpreting. We will cover professional aspects of interpreting and introduce different interpreting modes as well as stress management and note taking in practical sessions.

07/19 - 07/30Forster Summer School explores – sustainable future, Concepts, conditions, chances
The Forster Summer School aims at Bachelor, Master or PhD students from a variety of backgrounds, e.g. Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Molecular Biotechnology, Geography, Geosciences, or related disciplines dealing with interdisciplinary international approaches. The dimensions of sustainability and designs of a sustainable future will be addressed in numerous lectures, discussions, laboratory visits and scientific excursions in the Rhine-Main region. You will gain hands-on experience during field excursions, discover Mainz and its surroundings during cultural visits, improve your language skills and get to know students from all over the world.

08/12 - 09/20 IMB International Summer School on Epigenetics & Genome Stability in Health, Ageing & Disease
Our 6-week International Summer School (ISS) offers outstanding and enthusiastic undergraduate and Master's students from all over the world the opportunity to acquire excellent hands-on training and an interdisciplinary education from leading scientists in molecular biology. Join us to get training in cutting-edge scientific and transferable skills from leading experts, attend lectures on epigenetics, genome stability, ageing & related topics by renowned scientists, and dive into groundbreaking research projects!
