Programs of the Individual Faculties
International guests are welcome at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. For students and others who are interested in a short-term program, we offer the following Summer School programs.
|07/01 - 07/19||International Summer School German (and) Theology|
Postgraduate students and young international scholars are invited to attend this three week summer school as an opportunity for theologians (even with hitherto little knowledge of German) to immerse into language, thought, and the intellectual world of German theology.
|Faculty 01: Catholic and Protestant Theology|
|08/23 - 08/30||Gutenberg-Institute, Book Studies|
The Summer School: New Approaches and Methods for Research in Children’s Media is aimed at students interested in Children’s and YA-media. Numerous lectures and workshops by international experts will provide new cultural studies perspectives on Children’s Media (e.g. Disability Studies and New Environmental Studies) with methods from the digital humanities. Excursions and meetings with staff from publishing houses and cultural institutions will introduce participants to the Rhine-Main region as a book and cultural region and provide opportunities for networking.
|Faculty 05: Philosophy and Philology|
