Fees and Financing

Course Fee

The program fee for participants of the International German language School is 990 EUR. The following services are included:

  • German course, including study materials
  • Intercultural competence training
  • Excursions to various cities
  • Specialist lectures
  • Learning support
  • Transcript of records listing taken courses and credit points (ECTS)

Further costs

Please note that all participants must take care of potential visa applications themselves, including the payment of visa application fees in case they need a visa for Germany.

The accommodation is not included in the course fee. You will find Information on where to apply for an accommodation on our website.

Meals will not be provided. You will have to expect expenses of 10-20 EUR per day for your meals, depending on your needs.

A ticket for the public transportation can be purchased at the airport for 49 EUR.


Students from any University can apply for a scholarship provided by the Santander Consumer Bank. Please note that only a limited number of scholarships can be awarded.

The following Documents must be uploaded:

  • enrollment from your home university
  • a copy of your “Acknowledgment of Registration” for the JGU Summer Course, which you will receive via mail after your registered here
  • a letter of motivation why you are interested in participating in the International German language School (either in English or German)
  • your CV
  • a copy of your transcript of records from your home university.
